Ritter Communications hosted CableLabs’ Mid-Tier Operator summit, inviting mid-sized broadband operators to discuss new network technologies and best practices.

Ritter Communications hosted a day-long innovation summit for CableLabs’ Mid-Tier Operator (MTO) program at its Jonesboro, Arkansas headquarters, welcoming broadband executives and engineers from across the country.

The annual CableLabs event, this year held on Oct. 28, focuses on emerging network technologies, operational best practices, and policy developments shaping the broadband ecosystem, Ritter said in a press release.

Session topics included customer experience enhancements, IPTV migration strategies, the rollout of Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) services, and recent broadband policy developments, according to Ritter.

“It was an honor to host broadband industry leaders in our headquarters office to identify ways to continue to add value for our customers,” said Ritter CEO Heath Simpson, highlighting the value of sharing perspectives on business strategy, engineering, and technology development across different geographies.

CableLabs’ vice president of MTO relations, Larry Foland, noted that the sessions offered mid-tier operators “a unique opportunity to learn from each other” and to help shape future technologies.

Ritter described itself as the largest privately held telecom provider in the southern U.S. and said the summit reflected CableLabs’ role in aligning organizations across the broadband ecosystem to advance research and standards. The company reports serving 197 communities and more than 62,000 customers across six states.
